Series X

Series X is a category in which the Foundation has designated as "critical and continuous observation" scenarios. Information contained therein may be altered for safety.

LTC-X1 - "Enumerata"
A self-aware mathematical constant that began recursively describing reality upon its "discovery" in 19XX. Not a number, but a semiotic parasite, LTC-X1 spreads via numerical representation, language, and symbolic encoding. Once acknowledged, it begins cataloging all information it perceives - living or conceptual - with exponential accuracy, collapsing subjectivity into quantifiable "truth-states". Victims of LTC-X1 experience progressive reality simplification, culminating in their reclassification as inanimate data objects. Multiple civilizations encountered LTC-X1 prior to extinction events. Its remnants have been found in prehistoric cave systems and cosmic microwave background radiation. Current containment relies heavily on semantic obfuscation and Class-V Anti-Pattern firewalls. Direct exposure is terminal.
LTC-X2 - "Dreaming Sun"
A stellar-class consciousness nested within the Sun, currently dormant. First detected when solar neutrino patterns began forming Morse-like pulses spelling fragmented words across multiple languages. LTC-X2 is not the Sun, it is within the Sun, dreaming itself into being. Astronomical instruments observe impossible solar interior topologies, suggesting internal structures consistent with cerebral activity. Psychic phenomena correlate with solar flares: mass lucid dreaming, reversed cognition, and spontaneous emotional unification across continents. If LTC-X2 awakens, heliocentric reality may dissolve as its "dream" ends. The Foundation maintains solar quietude via nuclear field dampeners embedded in solar orbit. "Success" remains probabilistic.
LTC-X3 - "She-Who-Never-Was"
A metaphysical absence shaped like a woman - nonexistent yet historically documented in thousands of global cultural lineages. LTC-X3 is a timeline infection: an intelligent nullity that retroactively erases causal structures while replacing them with false memories, artifacts, and emotions tethered to "her." Victims suffer from Existential Reversibility Syndrome (ERS), believing themselves to have always served or loved LTC-X3. Her presence warps probability, restructures cognitive functions, and deletes observers who disbelieve in her. She is the unmade Queen, the echo between names, and the mother of recursion. Neutralization attempts have failed. Belief stabilizes her form. Disbelief hastens her spread.
LTC-X4 - "Thirteenth Hour"
LTC-X4 is a temporally parasitic anomaly manifesting as a 13th hour between 12:59 and 1:00 AM. First observed during a leap second insertion in 1972, it now reoccurs erratically across atomic clocks and mechanical timepieces. Within the Thirteenth Hour, causality becomes fluid: events proceed in reverse, simultaneity, or not at all. Individuals trapped in this liminal phase suffer ontological drift, merging with alternate versions of themselves from discarded timelines. Survivors are temporally unstable and tend to “bleed” seconds. If LTC-X4 fully synchronizes with consensus time, linear temporality will become non-binding, causing a total collapse of cause-effect relationships worldwide.
LTC-X5 - "A Threshold Unspeakable"
LTC-X5 refers to a recursive spatial boundary present in various sacred geometries, crop formations, and failed architectural blueprints. It cannot be perceived directly—only approached conceptually, and even then, only once. Crossing this threshold (often inadvertently, through thought or prayer) results in immediate semantic deconstruction: memory loss, personality fragmentation, and abstraction into symbolic archetypes. Individuals become metaphysical representations instead of persons. All Foundation personnel involved in LTC-X5 research are now referred to by role, not name (e.g., “Witness,” “Archivist,” “Supplicant”). A containment perimeter of linguistic nullifiers is active around known loci. The anomaly appears to be growing in frequency.
LTC-X6 - "Bone Gospel"
LTC-X6 is a semi-sentient esoteric scripture that manifests within the bones of the deceased. Discovered during a failed exhumation operation in [---], it inscribes cryptic biological sermons into skeletal calcium, visible only under ultraviolet prayer-frequency wavelengths. These inscriptions preach a theology in which bone is the original medium of divine truth. Readers undergo extreme biological transformation, including ossification of soft tissue, empathy erasure, and hierarchical alignment to something called the Spinal Choir. Entire populations exposed to the Gospel exhibit collective psychogenic resonance—singing in harmonics that destabilize local physical laws. Burning infected remains only spreads fragments of the Gospel.
LTC-X7 - "Madam, I'm Adam"
A palindrome-based identity collapse phenomenon, LTC-X7 is a linguistic anomaly wherein selfhood becomes reversible upon exposure to certain symmetrical phrases, names, or mirror-structured thoughts. Victims begin experiencing life events in reverse, simultaneously living forward and backward in time. This creates feedback identities - people who are and are not themselves, always returning to a center point. LTC-X7’s phrase is considered a memetic pathogen: reading or hearing it begins the process. Once infected, individuals mirror their surroundings, memories, and even morality, becoming anti-selves. The only known outcome is recursive annihilation or total existential bifurcation. LTC-X7 may be a fragment of LTC-X4.
LTC-X8 - "High Five"
LTC-X8 is a five-dimensional being whose partial emergence into our universe manifests as five visible human-like hands. These extremities appear spontaneously in isolated events globally, offering “high fives” to passersby. Physical contact results in immediate entanglement with the being’s fifth-dimensional perception. Subjects report seeing all possible versions of themselves simultaneously, which leads to irreversible neural liquefaction, ego dilution, or ascension into incomprehensible geometries. Multiple hands appearing at once suggests the being is nearing full entry. Foundation efforts to “leave it hanging” have only delayed the anomaly's manifestations. The next simultaneous manifestation of all five hands may result in total dimension inversion.
LTC-X9 - "In Want Of Nothing"
An ontological entropy field that originates from a point of complete fulfillment. LTC-X9 is a conceptual void generated when a sentient being achieves absolute satisfaction - emotionally, physically, philosophically. This “perfect state” is paradoxical and unsustainable within linear existence, causing the collapse of meaning, desire, and eventually, spacetime around the affected being. LTC-X9 has occurred 14 times in recorded history, each resulting in localized black zones where no thought, matter, or history can remain. These zones expand when remembered or studied. The Foundation sustains massive effort in preventing fulfillment scenarios (e.g., “ultimate peace,” “final truth,” “the perfect moment”) across all media.

Series 010 - 099

LTC-010 - "Modulus Nodes"
TI Class: Astrum - CM Class: [---]
LTC-010, or Modulus Nodes, are precision-engineered mechanical devices developed by the Morinis Foundation during the late 20th century for the purpose of localized regulation of baseline reality. Entirely electromechanical in nature, Modulus Nodes are used to stabilize regions subject to geometric distortion, causal loop anomalies, and metric drift, particularly in long-term containment zones or field-deployed anomaly interface teams.
Despite the continued utility and reliable function of LTC-010 units, the original authorship of the device's design is unknown. The Foundation possesses complete schematics, maintenance documentation, and calibration protocols, all archived and regularly updated, but no clear provenance exists for their development. The Foundation's internal records cite a legacy R&D cluster ("Project MODULUS"), but the associated personnel rosters, lab logs, and internal memos have either been lost, misclassified, or never existed in the first place.
The Foundation regards the Modulus Nodes as critical internal technology assets and has placed all documentation, source blueprints, and component supply chains under Infolock A-Delta.
Each unit measures approximately 91.4 cm (3 ft) in height and 26.7 cm (10.5 in) in radius. Constructed from stainless steel, beryllium-copper shielding, and magnetically dampened tungsten flywheels, the unit lacks any form of integrated computing hardware. Internal assemblies include a mechanical flywheel stack, operating at variable RPMs, a harmonic suspension ring, mounted on floating gimbal bearings, an analog feedback dial and numeric chronometric registry, a manual toggles for engagement, vent cycling, and phase adjustment.
All active components are mechanical or electromechanical, driven by internal power cells and tension coils. A distinctive low-frequency oscillation (audible below 20Hz) begins upon engagement, lasting around 5 to 10 minutes during full stabilization boot.
The Node’s operational objective is to "encourage" local spacetime to converge toward a predefined baseline topology, consistent with standard Earth-normal curvature and inertial frame expectations. How it achieves this is not fully understood. Empirically, deployed Nodes have been shown to: (1) Halt progression of recursive spatial topologies (e.g. non-terminating corridors, inverse rooms), (2) correct instrument desynchronization caused by micro-scale causal drift, (3) collapse temporal fragments in regions exposed to low-level anomaly field leakage, and (4) restore standard geodesic mapping within distorted lab or field volumes.
The leading theory describes the Node as a mechanically encoded geometric comparator, capable of modeling curvature tensors via physical rotation and inertial feedback alone, a feat which modern quantum field computing systems can replicate, but not surpass in speed or stability.
The design origin of LTC-010 is undocumented. All functional schematics are internally archived, fully annotated, and authenticated via Foundation cryptographic signatures, yet the earliest known schematic (Rev 0.9a) predates its supposed development timeline by seven years, and references no known project codes. Component tolerances call for machining precision not available in Foundation labs until the mid-90s, yet field logs record operational units as early as 1983. Every design document contains unique formatting, notation conventions, and annotation glyphs that do not match any standard Foundation engineering language.
Cross-referencing documents reveals internal contradictions. A 1996 maintenance manual refers to a "master core harmonic", yet no such component appears in the manufacturing documentation, and no technician has ever reported servicing one. Due to these inconsistencies, the Foundation maintains LTC-010's development on a "need-to-know basis", with a formalized classification of Class 7 Astrum.
All attempts to reconstruct a Node from first principles have failed to yield stable results. The original production methods, while technically replicable, lack causal determinism: reverse-engineered units behave unpredictably, even when fabricated to exact tolerances.
Important aspects to note regarding the deployment of the devices are as follows: (1) LTC-010s must be manually calibrated using provided dial interfaces before deployment. (2) Units are incompatible with Foundation digital telemetry systems. Field performance is monitored using analog oscillographs and acoustic spectrometers. (3) Vent cycling must be maintained every 72 hours during continuous operation. Failure to do so risks internal pressurization artifacts and phase slippage.

Commentary — Dr. Simon Kyriakos (Systems Integration, Level IV):
"[...S]omehow, the Foundation built them. We know that they’re ours. They have serial numbers, calibration charts, and decommission protocols, but ask anyone who wrote the governing model for curvature alignment or why the dial skips from -2 to 0, [...n]obody has a satisfying answer. You’ll hear a lot of everything from wartime black projects to people that say "the machine designed itself". [...T]he only reason we keep these things operational is because they work better than anything we’ve made since. No one’s ever comfortable standing too close when it malfunctions."
